Terms of Service

Anshuk ("Anshuk", "we", "us", "our") is a mobile application operated by The Little Loom. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Anshuk app and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, reside in the United States, and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using Anshuk together with a partner, each partner must independently meet these requirements and accept these Terms.

Anshuk is an AI-assisted relationship coaching app. It uses artificial intelligence to offer reflective prompts, structured exercises, conversation guidance, and educational content grounded in evidence-based frameworks such as the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

The Service does not provide medical advice, psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and no therapist–client or doctor–patient relationship is created by your use of it. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions about a medical or mental-health condition.

Anshuk is free to start. Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium"). Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and your purchase is also governed by that store's terms.

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Use Anshuk to harass, threaten, abuse, surveil, or harm another person, including a partner;
• Impersonate another person or access an account that is not yours;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or model data from the Service;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on our systems, or bypass security or rate limits;
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
• Use the Service to provide professional advice to third parties or resell access.

"Your Content" means the messages, reflections, memories, photos, and other material you submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, and to comply with law. We do not use Your Content to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the Anshuk and The Little Loom names and logos, is owned by The Little Loom and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your situation, or that the Service will produce any particular relationship outcome. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LITTLE LOOM AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Little Loom and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Anshuk is offered only to users in the United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the US state in which you reside, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and The Little Loom agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in your state of residence for any dispute not resolved informally. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protections of your state of residence.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@anshuk.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith. Many concerns can be resolved quickly this way.

You may stop any coaching session at any time, and you may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — survive termination.

You may also withdraw the consent you gave at sign-up. Because Anshuk cannot operate without processing your information, withdrawing your general consent will end your access to the Service and trigger deletion of your account, subject to the retention and legal-hold rules in our Privacy Policy. For shared couples data, deletion remains subject to joint-ownership and legal-hold limits described above and in the Privacy Policy. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before you withdrew.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
